Engraved Slate Memorial Plaque

Description

Some people leave a mark on our lives that time does not wear away. This plaque is a way to keep that mark where you can see it.

Cut from natural slate with a rough, hand-split edge, each memorial plaque is laser-engraved with a portrait of your loved one alongside their name, dates, and the words you choose. The engraving is etched into the stone itself, leaving a soft, pale gray image against the dark slate that will never rub, peel, or fade. Every piece is made to order for one person, or one very good pet, and inspected before it leaves our studio.

For the people we miss: a parent, grandparent, spouse, sibling, or friend. Add a nickname only the family used, a favorite saying, a line of scripture, or a simple message of peace. If they served, we can add the emblem of their branch of service, as shown on the plaque pictured.

For the pets we loved: a portrait of your dog, cat, or horse with their name, the years they shared with you, and a few words about who they were. A paw print or a small heart makes a gentle finishing touch.

Where it lives: on a mantel, bookshelf, or bedside table, at a graveside or garden memorial, as part of a remembrance table at a service, or sent to a family member who is grieving and needs something to hold on to.

Personalize it: in the personalization box, enter the name, dates, nickname (optional), and the message or verse you would like engraved, plus any emblem or symbol you want included. After checkout, reply to your order confirmation email with the photo you would like us to use, or attach it through our custom order form. You will receive a digital proof to approve before we engrave a single line.

Choosing a photo: the best results come from a clear, well-lit photo where the face is in focus and fills a good portion of the frame. Photos with strong contrast between the subject and the background engrave beautifully; very dark or blurry photos are harder to capture. Not sure if yours will work? Size: 10 in. wide × 4 in. tall.
Material: natural slate. Each piece varies slightly in thickness, texture, and edge shape, so no two plaques are exactly alike.
Turnaround: 5–7 business days after proof approval. If you need it by a service date, let us know in the personalization box and we will do our best.
Display: sealed with a clear indoor/outdoor lacquer, so it can be kept inside or placed outdoors at a graveside or garden memorial. Display stand shown is not included.
Care: wipe gently with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth. No harsh cleaners or soaking.
